“LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND” TIMELY SUPPORT PROVIDED FOR STUDENTS IN FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY AFFECTED BY COVID-19 PANDEMIC FROM FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, THE UNIVERSITY OF DA NANG – UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES STUDIES

“LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND”

TIMELY SUPPORT PROVIDED FOR STUDENTS IN FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY AFFECTED BY COVID-19 PANDEMIC FROM FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, THE UNIVERSITY OF DA NANG – UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES STUDIES.

In the face of difficulties caused by COVID-19, the students of International Studies Faculty, especially those living far away from home, are in need of support and the Faculty Board of Leaders has acted quickly to assist their students in overcoming this challenging period.

After just over a day of campaigning for donation, the Faculty of International Studies has received contributions from officials, lecturers, alumni, organizations and individuals from the University, especially the support from the UFL’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union – Da Nang University Student’s Association, so that the Faculty Board, lecturers and representatives of Executive Committee of The Associated Organ of Vietnamese Students’ Association, Faculty of International Studies have given basic necessities to 32 students and 200,000 VND in cash to each in financial difficulties effected by Covid-19 pandemic on the morning of August 1^st, 2020. The gift presentation took place successfully, in compliance with the regulations on social-distancing according to the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16/CT-TTg.

The gifts not only provide material support, but also the best wishes of all to the students – join hands to overcome the pandemic. “In the COVID-19 situation, my mother was unemployed. I thought that my friends and I would stay here alone, but I am very moved by the solicitude of my lecturers, they left no one behind.” A student shared.

Once again, the Faculty of International Studies would like to sincerely thank the contributions of teachers, sponsors and alumni. We hope that everyone will continue to accompany when the pandemic is complicated so that the International Studies Faculty is truly a family, a place of great care and love from lecturers and alumni to student’s generations.
