STUDENT DIALOGUE PROGRAM WITH THE FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES BOARD 2019 – 2020
On June 25th & 26th 2020, the Faculty of International Studies convened Student Dialogue Program with the Faculty of International Studies Board, with the aim to build conversation between students and faculty board. The meeting is an occasion for participants to dicuss the quality of comprehensive education, as well as to ensure the most favorable environment for students to develop their full potential and creativity in scientific research and studies.
The Student Dialogue is one of useful activities. It worked to understand the aspirations of students then mentors promptly solve difficulties and concerns of students during the process of studying at university. The meeting was taking place in a democratic, public, and open atmosphere.
The Student Dialogue is a two-day event with the presentation of Ms. Le Thi Phuong Loan. M.A. -Vice Dean, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Hoa, M.A. -Vice Dean, Ms. Nguyen Vo Huyen Dung, M.A. -Head of Division of International Relations and Ms. Le Nguyen Hai Van, M.A. – lecturer of Division of Oriental Studies, and more than 50 representatives from International Studies and Oriental Studies from cohort 2016 on 25th and all foreign students from Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Culture to Foreigners Division on 26th.
On the first day, the Student Dialogue took place vigorously. The representatives of students of various classes had a lot of feedbacks as well as questions about the training program, the time for registering courses, both online and offline teaching procedure (current situations involving Covid-19), tuition fee and library’s academic literature, etc.

On the second day, the foreign students were firstly self-conscious to raise their voice then the mentors/ lecturers supported them to be more confident to share their own difficulties at school. They expressed to have troubles studying Marxist-Leninist courses and the completing certificates that meet output standards. Besides, they found it difficult to find information related to the curriculum, which is later guided in details by the Faculty Board.

In addition to the contents within the Faculty’s jurisdiction, the Board also agreed to refer to the University’s Educational Administration the remaining questions and difficulties of students in other fields of activity related to other Faculties and Departments.
The Student Dialogue gives the Faculty of International Studies and the University a deep understanding of students’ interests and shows the concern for students to have the best training environment.
